Softball Recap: Dinuba Beats Lemoore for Their 11th Straight Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dinuba). Everything went their way against the Lemoore Tigers on Friday as they made off with a 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Emperors, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cambria Alderete was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Flores, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Dinuba always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lemoore only posted an OBP of .455.

The win (which was Dinuba's 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lemoore, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Dinuba has already played their next contest, a 20-1 win against McLane on the 12th. As for Lemoore, they will take on Mt. Whitney in a tournament on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
