Basketball Game Preview: Cardinal Stritch Cardinals vs. North Baltimore Tigers

Cardinal Stritch hasn't had much luck against North Baltimore recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Cardinal Stritch came up short against St. Joseph Central Catholic and fell 53-42.

Cardinal Stritch might have lost, but man, Amaya Hill was a machine: she dropped a double-double with 27 points and 17 boards. Hill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Makayla (KK) Miltz, who posted 14 points along with six steals and five boards.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Baltimore ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past McComb 68-66. The Tigers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Cardinal Stritch better keep an eye on Lacie Allison. She was instrumental in North Baltimore's win, dropping a double-double with 37 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Allison has scored at least a third of the Tigers' points. Kaylee Allison was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Cardinal Stritch's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Baltimore, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Cardinal Stritch ended up a good deal behind North Baltimore in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, losing 45-26. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
