Baseball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Find Success

Pembroke Pines Charter extended their postseason success on Thursday against South Fork. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on Wednesday.

Brady Mongera was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Pembroke Pines Charter and bumps their season record up to 14-12-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for South Fork, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.

Pembroke Pines Charter will head out to take on Mater Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
