Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jalen Antonio and Jesse Harden Lead Spoto to Victory

Spoto hadn't done well against Tampa Bay Tech recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Spoto Spartans managed a 52-48 victory over the Tampa Bay Tech Titans. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Spoto to victory were Jesse Harden and Jalen Antonio. Harden dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Antonio posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Lorenzo-Galvan, who had six points and three steals.

Spoto smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tampa Bay Tech only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Tampa Bay Tech lost, don't look at Dexter Lawson. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Clark, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

Spoto's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Spoto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-52 win against East Bay on the 13th. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-41 defeat against Wharton on the 13th.
