Top 10 prospect set Roosevelt school record for points in a game with impressive performance Friday night.

Five-star senior Brayden Burries put up one of the most impressive stat-lines of the high school basketball season Friday night, posting 56 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and five steals in a 111-92 victory for No. 6 Roosevelt (Eastvale, Calif.) over Inglewood (Calif.).

Burries connected on 18 of 28 field goal attempts, while knocking down 3 of 5 shots from beyond the arc and connecting on 17 of 18 free throw attempts in the efficient effort. The 6-foot-4 combo-guard had 30 points in the first half on 10 of 13 shooting.

Regarded as the No. 11 prospect in the Class of 2025, Burries led three scorers in double-figures in the victory as senior guard Myles Walker chipped in 14 points, seven assists and six rebounds while senior wing Dominic Copenhagen had 13 points, three rebounds and three assists.

The elite prospect is averaging 36.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.0 steals per contest during his senior campaign. Burries also recorded 47 points in a season-opening 92-57 victory for the Mustangs.

With his strong early-season play, Burries has put himself in the mix as one of the leading contenders for National Player of the Year honors to this point in the season. Last year, he earned first team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors after tallying 24.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per outing to help the Mustangs reach the Open Division state semifinals.

Despite the loss, top 10 junior prospect Jason Crowe Jr. tallied 41 points and four steals on an efficient 13 of 19 from the field, 3 of 4 from 3-point range and 12 of 14 from the free throw line. Senior Danaus Cockrell was the only other scorer in double-figures for Inglewood as he finished with 23 points, five rebounds and five assists in the setback.

Roosevelt moves to 7-1 on the season with their win as they travel to the Tarkanian Classic next week for a first-round showdown with St. Augustine (San Diego, Calif.) on Wednesday.

Inglewood drops to 5-3 on the season and will look to rebound with a contest against King/Drew (Los Angeles, Calif.) tonight.
