Softball Recap: Laurel Golden Tornadoes vs. Meridian Wildcats

Sadly, Laurel is still looking for their first win of the season after eight contests. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 17-6 walloping at the hands of the Meridian Wildcats on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Laurel of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

For Meridian's part, Jazlynn Sulton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Sulton was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
