Basketball Recap: Lynwood Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-40, which was the final score in the Lynwood Knights's tilt against the Legacy Christian Academy Lions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while the Lions are ranked 98th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than JR Mosley, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Millett, who earned 18 points.

Lynwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Lynwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-50 victory against Maywood Academy on the 9th. Legacy Christian Academy has also already played their next game, a 49-46 loss against St. Monica on the 7th.
