Skutt Catholic extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to six on Saturday, bumping them up to 2-0. They came out on top against the Millard West Wildcats by a score of 67-58. This was payback for the SkyHawks, who suffered a 54-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Skutt Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Wissink, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Linderman, who posted 13 points.

As for Millard West, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games.

Millard West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leo Cauble, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and five boards. Ben LaBorde was another key player, putting up ten points.
