Basketball Recap: Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Atlanta Area School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Howard Hawks, falling 63-42. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-25 back in December of 2024.

Howard found their leader in sophomore Michael Davis, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Roberts, who had seven points.

Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Howard, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers take on the Cottage Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Howard, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mill Springs Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
