Baseball Recap: Torrance Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Torrance extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Oaks Christian. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Tartars, who suffered an 8-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mateo Rickman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Torrance pushed their record up to 19-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Oaks Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 20-9 record.

Coming up, Torrance will face off against Fountain Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Barons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Tartars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Oaks Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
