Baseball Game Preview: South Park Eagles vs. Avonworth Antelopes

For the second straight game, South Park will face off against Avonworth. The Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Antelopes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games South Park has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

South Park took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Avonworth 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Avonworth's part, Declan Ehrin was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

South Park's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Avonworth, they moved to 13-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
