Glenwood Springs proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Battle Mountain Huskies 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Demons as they're now sitting on five straight.

Glenwood Springs saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Mazur, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Mazur a new career-high. Jackson Irving was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Glenwood Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matches.

Glenwood Springs' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Battle Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
