Purcell won against Crossings Christian on Friday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Dragons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Community Christian Royals, sneaking past 13-11. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Purcell's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Community Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Purcell will be playing in front of their home fans against Star-Spencer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Community Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Lone Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Royals 3.7, the Longhorns 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
