Softball Game Preview: Eastern Hancock Royals vs. Christel House Eagles

The Eastern Hancock Royals will face off against the Christel House Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern Hancock has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastern Hancock managed to slip by Shenandoah the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Royals came up short against the Raiders on Thursday, falling 12-2.

Christel House is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Eastern Hancock, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-11.

Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eastern Hancock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. However, it's not like Christel House struggles in that department as they've averaged .586. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
