Basketball Recap: Middle Creek Comes Up Short

Middle Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Apex Friendship Patriots. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 58-55.

Despite the loss, Middle Creek still got an impressive performance from Yasir Hall, who posted 19 points. The matchup was Hall's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Greyson Land, who earned ten points.

Middle Creek now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Apex Friendship, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Middle Creek and Apex will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Apex has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Apex Friendship has already played their next game (against Green Hope), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
