York had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Hornell Red Raiders 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

York was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Hornell lost, don't look at Mia Nasca. Despite the final result, she had 26 digs and two aces. Nasca has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

York's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Hornell, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

York and Hornell should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Golden Knights (ranked seventh) will meet Keshequa (ranked 173rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hornell will take on Dansville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (78 vs. 315).
