Baseball Recap: East Rowan Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

East Rowan waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the South Rowan Raiders with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Braylen Ketchie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Krys Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Ketchie wasn't the only one working in the hit department: East Rowan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. East Rowan is a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

East Rowan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Rowan, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Coming up, East Rowan will face off against Lake Norman Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Norman Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for South Rowan, they have already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against West Cabarrus on the 15th.
