Preview: Lakota Tech Tatanka vs. Marty Indian Braves
The Lakota Tech Tatanka will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marty Indian Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lakota Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matchups.
Even though Crazy Horse scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Lakota Tech still came out on top. Lakota Tech took their game against Crazy Horse 68-55.
Gilbert White Jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four steals and two blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Casey, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Marty Indian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Bennett County with points to spare, taking the game 90-71. Winning may never get old, but Marty Indian sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
The win got Lakota Tech back to even at 7-7. As for Marty Indian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Lakota Tech skirted past Marty Indian 66-63 in their previous matchup back in January of 2021. Will Lakota Tech repeat their success, or does Marty Indian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
