Baseball Recap: Williams Gets the Win

Williams hadn't done well against Southern Alamance recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Patriots on Tuesday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The result came thanks to Bubba Sims's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Williams secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Cooper Marks, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Williams' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Southern Alamance, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Williams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 defeat against Southeast Alamance on the 31st. As for Southern Alamance, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Eastern Randolph on the 30th.
