Kamiakin has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.71 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Kennewick Lions, falling 16-7. The Braves' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Kamiakin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-2. As for Kennewick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kamiakin is set to square off against their familiar foe Richland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Braves 2.7, the Bombers 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Kennewick will challenge rival Chiawana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
