Volleyball Recap: Centralia Find Success

Centralia saw some tournament action on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the East Peoria Raiders 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Orphans.

Marley Edson paced Centralia's offense, picking up nine kills. Edson got some help from Rorie Lambert and her ten assists. Lambert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Centralia's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for East Peoria, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Centralia will venture away from home to take on Cahokia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Peoria has already played their next contest (against Metro-East Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
