Soccer Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chelsea back in March, Williamston came back down to earth. The Hornets lost 7-0 to the Marian Mustangs on Friday. Williamston were not able to make up for their defeat to Marian from their previous meeting back in March of 2016.

Williamston's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marian, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamston will face off against Columbia Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marian, they will square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
