Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. Rocky Mountain

The Horizon Hawks will take on the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Horizon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Longmont on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Horizon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Longmont are ranked 44th).

Horizon's goal came courtesy of Alex Ravsten, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in August, Rocky Mountain was forced to settle for a draw on Saturday. They and Broomfield finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

With that draw, Rocky Mountain's record moves to 2-4-2. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

Horizon took their win against Rocky Mountain in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lobos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
