Softball Game Preview: Silverado Hawks vs. San Gorgonio Spartans

The Silverado Hawks will face off against the San Gorgonio Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Silverado was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Moreno Valley on Friday. Everything went Silverado's way against Moreno Valley as Silverado made off with a 15-1 victory.

Alexis Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Valerie Beltran, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyzzah Piceno, who went 1-for-4 with five RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, San Gorgonio made easy work of Indian Springs on Friday and carried off a 26-4 win.

The victory got Silverado back to even at 1-1. As for San Gorgonio, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
