Poly hadn't beaten Digital Harbor on the road since October 20, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Engineers enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Rams. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Engineers were the (much) better team in the second half.

When it comes to explaining why Digital Harbor lost, don't look at Tristan Penn. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Penn's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tasean Mitchell also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.

Poly has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 37.5 points this season. As for Digital Harbor, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
