Football Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Corvian Community Cardinals + How To Watch

The Community School of Davidson Spartans will take on the Corvian Community Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Corvian Community will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Community School of Davidson extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lincoln Charter 49-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Community School of Davidson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Sigler out in front who threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns. Sam Mack was Sigler's top target, picking up 125 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Community School of Davidson, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tyler Johnson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Community School of Davidson's defense and their five sacks. Zack Albert was especially locked on to Lincoln Charter's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Corvian Community duked it out with Langtree Charter Academy on Friday. The Cardinals breezed past the Lions to the tune of 49-7. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Lions are ranked 340th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corvian Community's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Community School of Davidson, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Community School of Davidson was taken down by Corvian Community 47-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Spartans, Cam Johnson (who rushed for 122 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
