Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Bradley Takes a Loss

Hilliard Bradley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dublin Jerome Celtics. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Celtics apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

While Hilliard Bradley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-11, 25-13.

When it comes to explaining why Hilliard Bradley lost, don't look at Kendal Barber. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and one assist. Barber has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played. Kennedy Warner also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Hilliard Bradley's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Dublin Jerome, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Hilliard Bradley and Hilliard Darby will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Dublin Jerome, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Worthington Kilbourne at 6:30 p.m.
