Griffin Couch leads Cape Hatteras to victory over Mattamuskeet

Recap: Cape Hatteras Hurricanes vs. Mattamuskeet Lakers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bear Grass Charter, the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes were happy to have found some success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Mattamuskeet. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Cape Hatteras considering their 23-point performance the game before.
Griffin Couch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Jenkins, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Cape Hatteras' win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Mattamuskeet, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Hatteras will take on Ocracoke at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ocracoke has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mattamuskeet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
