             Catalina was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  42-22 to the Palo Verde Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the  34-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2023.
 Although Catalina took the loss, they still got scores from  Israel Rivas,  Joseph Martinez,  and  Fernando Mesquita.
 Catalina didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ace Lewis and  Mesquita. Lewis has been hot , having also posted seven or more  total tackles the last six times he's  played.
 Catalina's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Palo Verde,  with the  victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.
 Catalina will take on Willcox at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Willcox knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Catalina likes a good challenge. As for Palo Verde, they will be playing at home against Tombstone  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Tombstone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.9  points per game  this season.
