Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Elkins Takes a Loss

Fort Bend Elkins's game on Tuesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Springs Chargers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Bend Elkins lost, don't look at Myles Allen. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Ekpo, who posted 11 points.

Fort Bend Elkins dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Clear Springs, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Fort Bend Elkins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-48 loss against Brennan on the 20th. As for Clear Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-45 win against Jersey Village on the 20th.
