Volleyball Recap: Na'kaiya Stubbs' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dallas County over Selma + How To Watch

If Dallas County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Southside on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets came up short against the Selma Saints on Thursday, falling 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Hornets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Dallas County ultimately came up short, they really made Selma work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 27-25.

Dallas County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Na'Kaiya Stubbs, who had eight aces and one assist. Stubbs is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of AnnaBelle Garzee, who had 14 assists and two aces.

Dallas County now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas County will head out to face off against Keith at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Selma, they will take on Jemison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
