Soccer Game Preview: Rio Rancho vs. Hobbs

The Rio Rancho Rams will face off against the Hobbs Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Rancho's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Hobbs' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Rio Rancho is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Cleveland, who was ranked 20th at the time (Rio Rancho was ranked fourth). The Rams and the Storm finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Hobbs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Mayfield by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Hobbs are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

They hit Mayfield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kareli Rivera, Kamila Beltran, and Addisyn Richards.

Hobbs' victory bumped their record up to 18-3. Rio Rancho's draw gives them a new season record of 14-4-2.
