Softball Recap: Wasilla Gets the Win

The Wasilla Warriors beat the North Pole Patriots 9-4 on Saturday.

Joshlynn Davis and Sydney Shaw did most of the damage at the plate: Davis got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs, while Shaw went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Shaw a new career-high.

Wasilla now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for North Pole, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wasilla will venture away from home to face off against Palmer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Moose will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Pole, they will head out to square off against Lathrop at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
