Softball Recap: Somerset Academy Panthers vs. Cooper City Cowboys

Somerset Academy got themselves on the board against Cooper City on Thursday, but Cooper City never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Cooper City Cowboys. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Somerset Academy considering their one-run performance the game before.

Caitlyn Diaz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 18 over 6.2 innings pitched. Diaz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Diaz was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
