Volleyball Recap: Macarthur Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for MacArthur, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Southwest Dragons on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 21-25, 25-18.

MacArthur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella McCoy, who had ten digs, five kills, five aces, and one block. McCoy is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Morrison, who had 16 digs and eight kills.

Southwest's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahaira Ramirez, who had ten digs and two aces.

MacArthur is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-12 record this season. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 17-20.

MacArthur didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Jay on the 14th. As for Southwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Harlandale on the 14th.
