Basketball Game Preview: Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions vs. Woods Charter Wolves

The Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions will head out to face off against the Woods Charter Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Excelsior Classical Academy lost to Woods Charter at home by a 35-20 margin.

Despite the loss, Excelsior Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Arihanna Williams posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shadiamond Francis Service, who had two points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Woods Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
