Soccer Recap: Shorecrest Comes Up Short

Shorecrest managed to keep up with Archbishop Murphy until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Scots lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Shorecrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Archbishop Murphy are ranked tenth).

Shorecrest moved to 4-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Archbishop Murphy, they pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shorecrest will host Edmonds-Woodway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmonds-Woodway's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Archbishop Murphy, they will challenge Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
