Brookline faced Newton South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight.

Brookline's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Newton South, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Brookline will face off against Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newton South, they will challenge St. John's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
