Recap: Monessen Greyhounds vs. Jefferson-Morgan Rockets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yough, the Monessen Greyhounds were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-55 win over Jefferson-Morgan. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jase Bedilion, who scored 15 points along with seven steals. Huston Guesman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and three steals.
Monessen's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Jefferson-Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monessen will face off against the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
