Softball Recap: Umpqua Valley Christian Wins Going Away Against Yoncalla

Umpqua Valley Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Yoncalla Eagles as they made off with a 16-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won nine matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Umpqua Valley Christian now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Yoncalla, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Umpqua Valley Christian will square off against Elkton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Monarchs are facing the Elks at the right time seeing as the Elks are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Yoncalla, they will take on Myrtle Point at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.62 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
