Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Notre Dame Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 59-37 margin over Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Irish Wolfhounds also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Notre Dame Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jazlynn Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Brown's evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cara Amadi, who went 10 of 17 en route to 22 points and four steals.

Notre Dame Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matches.

Notre Dame Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1.

Notre Dame Academy will challenge Praise Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
