Soccer Recap: Wilson Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Macon County on Thursday, Wilson Central came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the LaVergne Wolverines on Monday, falling 8-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wilson Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for LaVergne, the win got them back to even at 7-7-2.

Wilson Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for LaVergne, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cookeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cookeville's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so LaVergne's offense will have their work cut out for them.
