Softball Recap: Stebbins Indians vs. Troy Trojans

The Stebbins Indians took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans on Monday. Stebbins was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Troy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

For Troy's part, Riley King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Amayah Kennedy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Ater, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Stebbins has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. Springboro's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Troy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
