Volleyball Recap: Orcas Island Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Orcas Island lost against Mount Vernon Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 3-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Orcas Island was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mount Vernon Christian work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14, 23-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Orcas Island's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mount Vernon Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Orcas Island will challenge rival La Conner at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Darrington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
