Basketball Recap: Wilmington Friends Comes Up Short

Wilmington Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milford Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Quakers of the 49-40 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Wilmington Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Milford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Wilmington Friends will head out on the road to face off against Tatnall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milford, they will be playing at home against Sussex Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
