Softball Recap: Mesquite Takes a Loss

Mesquite lost to Eastmark back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 17-1 to the Firebirds. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mesquite saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylynn Aguilar, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Eastmark, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Mesquite will venture away from home to face off against Gilbert at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastmark, they will welcome Estrella Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
