Baseball Recap: Harvard Comes Up Short

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 17-4 to the Sandwich Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 last Monday.

Eltan Powles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Logan Nulle, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Sandwich, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harvard will challenge rival Marengo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sandwich is set to square off against their familiar foe Woodstock at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
