Baseball Recap: Portola Find Success

Portola proved they can win big last Friday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Diamond Bar Brahmas 6-4.

M Liang looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Keyan Park was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Yoshi Tsuge also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win got Portola back to even at 2-2. As for Diamond Bar, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portola will take on Cerritos in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Diamond Bar, they will be taking part in a tournament against Crean Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Diamond Bar has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
