The Orangewood Christian Rams will face off against the TNXL Academy Ducks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Orangewood Christian barely beat Lake Highland Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Orangewood Christian's way against Lake Highland Prep on Tuesday as Orangewood Christian made off with a 16-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Aiden Balls was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Orangewood Christian: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 3-4 otherwise. Balls was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Orangewood Christian let Max Sakala and Tre Roach run wild. Sakala scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Roach scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Sakala has posted since back in February. Carson Balls was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Orangewood Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .567. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, TNXL Academy came tearing into Monday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Knights get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Ducks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
TNXL Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Orangewood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Orangewood Christian skirted past TNXL Academy 5-3 in their previous matchup back in February of 2017. Does Orangewood Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will TNXL Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
