Soccer Game Preview: Petaluma vs. American Canyon

The Petaluma Trojans will challenge the American Canyon Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Petaluma's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Petaluma fell victim to Napa and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Trojans couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, American Canyon's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Sonoma Valley by a score of 2-1.

Petaluma's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3. As for American Canyon, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11-3.

Everything went Petaluma's way against American Canyon when the teams last played back in January, as Petaluma made off with a 5-0 win. Will Petaluma repeat their success, or does American Canyon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
